Vespa 946 Horse 2026

The Lunar Collection enters the next round: three years ago, PIAGGIO discovered a very charming idea: the Asian lunar calendar as a stage for limited special models. The rabbit (2023) became a dragon (2024), the snake meandered through the programme in 2025 - and 2026 is now officially under the sign of the horse. Voilà: Vespa 946 Horse. Limited edition, numbered, classy, and of course with the subtle undertone: "If it's gone, it's gone".

What is it actually - and why is it called "Horse"?

Because PIAGGIO is not just sticking the moon sign of the horse on the Horn Cover as a sticker, but is formulating it as a complete design theme. This sounds suitably solemn in the press release: "A magnetic radiance. Inspired by the lunar calendar, the Vespa 946 Horse celebrates the free spirit of the zodiac sign of the horse: intelligence, innate elegance and a spirit of discovery."

Translation into our everyday lives: it shouldn't just look good - it should make you look like you're about to set off on a stylish expedition. Even if it's just to the ice cream parlour.

Looks: Bay brown, gold and leather - "Stable Deluxe" in the 946 class

The colour is called Bay: a deep, burnished brown that looks different depending on the Light. PIAGGIO describes it as a Game of matt and shiny surfaces that makes the body look "in motion": "Under the sun it warms up to golden reflections, in the shade it becomes richer, almost metallic." There are also golden accents and genuine leather. The result: not "loud", but "expensive-quiet". Just like a customised coat - only with wheels.

The details that you (actually) don't want to touch - but have to touch all the time

Replacement Parts, Price & Availability

The 946 Horse comes with matching accessories, which PIAGGIO sees as an extension of the design idea: Helmet (with horse talisman), customised Wind Shield, black Covers and a Leather Bag from Italy: "Each piece is designed as a natural extension of its iconic aesthetic." This is not "Replacement Parts". This is "outfit".

The Vespa 946 Horse is a limited, numbered edition and starts at a price of at least 12,000 euros. Pre-ordering is possible, the phase ends on 27 February - with the friendly hint that after that, it cannot be guaranteed that you will actually get one. That's the kind of "limited" you can feel.

The Vespa 946 Horse is not a rational decision - it's a statement. Bay brown, gold, leather, horseshoe detail and a staging that lies somewhere between art object and travel fantasy. If you want one, don't hesitate too long: the horse won't be tied up forever.
